Cal star wideout Keenan Allen out with knee injury
Cal’s star wide receiver, Keenan Allen, won’t play in Friday’s game against the Huskies, Dan Greenspan reported on Twitter:

According to head coach Jeff Tedford, Allen has a PCL injury to his left knee. Tedford commented on the severity of the injury but wouldn’t commit to saying how long he’d be out:
On scale of 1-3, three being worst, Allen has grade "1.5" PCL injury, Tedford says. Moving around fine, but can't run routes. #Cal—

Tedford won't rule Allen out for season yet, but "won't do anything to jeopardize his health." #Cal—

Allen, a junior, set Cal’s career receptions record with his 205th catch during the team’s 49-27 loss to Utah last Saturday. He suffered the knee injury in the final minutes of that game. Allen is currently second in the Pac-12 in receptions this season with 61 behind USC’s Marqise Lee (76).
