Report: Kevin Love won’t need surgery to repair broken hand
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love will not need surgery to repair two broken bones in his right hand, according to the Associated Press.
Love met with specialists in New York on Thursday, one day after breaking his hand while doing knuckle pushups in a morning workout. Doctors informed Love that the injury can heal without surgery, but he is still expected to miss six to eight weeks.
The two-time All-Star broke the third and fourth metacarpals on his shooting hand.
Thursday morning, Love thanked fans for their support and well-wishes via Twitter:
Would like to thank all of you who reached out to me in the last 24 hours. This is a minor setback and I will be back stronger.—

He averaged 26 points and 13.3 rebounds last season.
I hope he does regular pushups in the future. Hard to believe his knuckles broke just by doing pushups. Get Well soon. If he works on his lefthand game and gets good at it he will be an even great force.
