Michael Vick to remain Eagles’ starting quarterback, according to report
Michael Vick will keep his job as the Philadelphia Eagles’ starting quarterback — for now.
The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane reported Thursday night that Vick will remain as the starting quarterback following the team’s bye week. Also, McLane reported that offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg will stay put as the team’s play-caller.

For now, it appears that Eagles head coach Andy Reid will spare his offensive stalwarts the same fate as defensive coordinator Juan Castillo, who was fired this week.
But frustration with Vick among the Eagles fan base has continued to build as he struggles through a season plagued by turnovers and key missteps. Vick sits behind only Dallas Cowboys’ starter Tony Romo in the NFC with eight interceptions already this season. And Vick has also lost three fumbles.
Mornhinweg’s offense, meanwhile, is 31st in the NFL in scoring. The Eagles sit at 3-3 heading into a highly anticipated home matchup with the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday.
