Kevin Kolb expected to miss several weeks due to chest injuries
Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb will not play on Sunday against the Vikings and is expected to miss additional games after chest injuries sustained against the Bills during Week 6. ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news via Twitter:
Kolb was injured with 2:05 left in regulation in the 19-16 loss to the Bills and had X-rays taken and an MRI. According to Schefter, Kolb had multiple ribs detach from his sternum and sprained a joint in his chest area. The 6-year veteran has taken a beating this season and leads the league in sacks with 27; 23 of those have come in the past three games. John Skelton would likely start in Kolb’s place.
