Giants’ cars burglarized while team was in San Francisco prepping for 49ers
Unlocked vehicles belonging to the New York Giants were reportedly burglarized early Sunday morning at the Timex Performance Center in East Rutherford, N.J. while the team was away in San Francisco getting ready to do battle with the 49ers, according to a report Tuesday morning from MSNBC.com:
Neither police nor the Giants team would confirm the names of the players who reportedly had their cars broken into, but Polite said the majority of the burglarized cars belonged to players.
The Giants ended up winning the game against the 49ers in rather convincing fashion, 26-3. Amid the reports of burlarized vehicles, there was also the news that one of the cars, a 1996 Chevy Caprice, was reportedly stolen off the lot:
Souped-up versions of the vehicle are popular with sports stars and “very common” in cities like Miami, Polite said.
