Report: Jets OL Matt Slauson to appeal $10K cut block fine





The NFL has fined Jets offensive lineman Matt Slauson $10,000 for his cut block that knocked Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing out for the rest of the season, according to a Jay Glazer tweet:

ESPN’s Adam Schefter added that Slauson will appeal the fine.

The NFL began the process of reviewing the block earlier this week.
Slauson said he considered the block to be clean and legal. Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said the block was “unnecessary.”
