Rotoworld had more on Rolen’s postgame thoughts:
Rolen was asked about his intentions after striking out to end the NLDS loss to the Giants Thursday but only said that he’s “going to go home and be a dad.”
Rolen, 37, hit .281 with 316 homers during his 17-year MLB career. He earned a reputation for being one of the league’s best defensive third baseman, winning eight Gold Gloves, before shoulder injuries reduced his effectiveness.
