The man who led the Boston Red Sox to two World Series championships may be returning to baseball. Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain dealer reports on Twitter that Francona and current Cleveland Indians Interim Manager Sandy Alomar, Jr. will interview for the club’s managerial vacancy this week.

The Indians fired former manager Manny Acta last week and currently own a 67-92 record. The team has one more three-game series against the Chicago White Sox, the last game of which will be played on Wednesday, after which the two candidates will be interviewed.
