Texas Ranger Yu Darvish scratched from tonight’s start vs. Oakland A’s
Anthony Andro of Fox Sports Southwest reports Texas Rangers righthander Yu Darvish has been scratched from tonight’s start against the Oakland A’s due to neck stiffness.
Darvis (16-9) had a stiff neck this morning and couldn’t “get loose” despite subsequent treatment.
Scott Feldman will take Darvish’s start. Feldman (6-11) recently lost his spot in the Rangers’ starting rotation.
Adrian Beltre’s two-run home run and ninth-inning bases-loaded single gave the Rangers a dramatic 5-4 walk-off win in last night’s opener of the four-game series. The Rangers (91-62) begin tonight five games ahead of the A’s in the American League West standings.
