NHL to resume talks with players union Friday
The NHL will resume negotiations with the NHL Players Union on Friday, according to tweets from multiple hockey reporters, including TSN’s Bob McKenzie.

However, fans hoping for a quick resolution to the labor dispute shouldn’t get too excited, according to RDS’ Renaud Lavoie:

The AP reports that the meeting will be the first between the NHL and Union officials since September 12, three days before the lockout began. The Union and NHL owners have disagreements on a variety of issues that need to be resolved in a new collective bargaining agreement, including the player’s share of league revenue and maximum contract length.
