Denver Broncos head coach John Fox and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio will be fined $20,000 each for publicly criticizing the replacement officials after a Week 2 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, according to a report Sunday afternoon from Adam Schefter of ESPN.com:

The NFL even called the Georgia Dome at halftime on Monday night to get the message to Fox and Del Rio to tone down their act in the second half, according to a league source.

The NFL reportedly issued a memo to its coaches during Week 2 of the season to stop bullying the replacement refs. That same week, another coach said that the refs are terrible, according to Schefter:

“I don’t care what the league fines me, these (replacement) refs are terrible,” one NFL head coach said last week.

Despite Shefter’s report that Fox and Del Rio would be fined, the Broncos have reportedly not been notified by the league of the news.

How much are these ref's getting fined for making bad calls that effect the out come of games? That's what I'd like to know. Here's an idea for Goodell. BRING BACK REAL REFS. Dumbass.

It is a concerted effort on behalf of the player and the coaches to put pressure on the owner to kiss the unionized oficials rearend and give up their right iin the process of collective bargaining. It is typical union tactics without regard for the fact that not everyone is willing to give the union bosses total control of their professional lives. I spent 29 year representing employers dealing with the unions and it is always "big I, little You". If the coaches act like spoiled brats penalize them Mr. Goodell.

Watching Eagles Cardinals game. A holding penalty just took 10 minutes to resolve. It was the DAMN COACHES, who took all the time up. Why the hell does it take Andy Reid so damned long to choose not to take the penalty (play ended in a sack for a loss).

It all wound up players & crowd & it was the coaches fault, not the officials.
