Grammy award winning rap star 50 Cent is on the verge of creating a promotional company with boxer Manny Pacquiao reports BoxingScene.com. The move is particularly controversial because of 50 Cent’s previous relationship with Pacquiao’s rival, Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
“50 Cent and I have been talking now for maybe the last two months. They approached us with the idea to form a promotional company,” Pacquiao advisor Michael Koncz said. ”Initially it was going to be 50 Cent, Manny and Floyd. But right now I don’t think Floyd is going to be a part of it.”
50 Cent launched TMT Promotions in July, intending to promote Mayweather fights. However, after Mayweather was released from prison on Aug. 3, the relationship between the two soured, and TMT Promotions will be closing.
