NHL CBA talks resume, players association may present new proposal





After a week-long hiatus, talks between the NHL and NHLPA resumed on Wednesday at the league’s headquarters in New York. The current CBA expires on Sept. 15, after which a lockout would ensue. The main discrepancy between the two sides is how to split revenues: The league’s latest offer is to give the players 46%; the players want to remain at their current 57% according to CBS Sports.
ESPN’s Katie Strang reported via Twitter that the players planned to present something to the league, although details have not been released:

Nearly 300 players went to New York for the meeting. Strang reported on a few in attendance:
