Indiana sophomore quarterback Tre Roberson will miss the rest of the season after breaking his left leg in the second quarter of the Hoosiers’ 45-6 win over UMass.

According to Adam Rittenberg of ESPN.com, coach Kevin Wilson said that Roberson will take an injury redshirt, giving him three more years of eligibility starting in 2013. Wilson also said that Roberson would need three to four months of recovery time, which means that he should be available for spring practice.

Indiana will now turn to sophomore juco transfer Cameron Coffman, who played well (16 of 22 for 159 yards and one touchdown) in relief of Roberson. True freshman Nate Sudfeld, who originally committed to Arizona, is now the backup.
