New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was an absolute nightmare for offensive tackles last season, registering 86 tackles and 16.5 sacks. One teammate thinks he has the potential to be one of the best rush ends ever.

“A 30-sack guy?” He could be. Absolutely.” Giants linebacker/defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka told the Star-Ledger. “He definitely has the potential to be one of the best ever. There’s so much that goes into it that’s out of his control so you don’t want to jinx him or anything like that, but if the kid keeps working and God’s on his side and he stays healthy, we expect to see great things out of him.”

The NFL record is 22.5 sacks set by former Giants defensive end Michael Strahan.

Pierre-Paul says he hasn’t even reached his potential yet.

“I am about 50 (percent),” Pierre-Paul said. “I am still learning. That is the good thing about it. I want to come out here and learn and keep on improving.”
