Dolphins’ team plane clips another aircraft following loss to Cowboys
The Miami Dolphins experienced some drama early Thursday morning as the team plane bringing players and personnel back to South Florida after a loss to the Dallas Cowboys backed into another aircraft on the runway, according to Kevin Lerner of The South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
Team commentator Joe Rose, once a tight end for the Dolphins, was on the plane at the time of the incident and said on his WQAM sports radio show that he couldn’t believe it:
“It rocked the entire plane,” Rose said on his sports radio show (WQAM 560-AM) early Thursday morning. “It was totally crazy. I just couldn’t believe it.”
There were no injuries, according to Rose, but it took the team three hours to get settled into another plane because the aircraft that was supposed to depart had significant damage.
The producers of the HBO series “Hard Knocks” were also on-board and began filming immediately after the accident. The footage will reportedly air in the final episode scheduled for Sept. 4.
Several players tweeted their frustration with the incident, including quarterback Matt Moore, who called it the longest trip ever.

The incident came on the heels of a 30-13 loss to the Cowboys. The team is now winless for the third time in franchise preseason history.
Even the pilots are tired of this season already.
Yet another sign that the Dolphins don't know where they are going?
