Viewers of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” have been privy to inside looks at dramatic Miami Dolphins training  camp story lines such as David Garrard’s knee injury and surgery, Chad Johnson’s release following his arrest for assault, Vontae Davis learning he’s been traded to the Colts and this week’s tense roster cuts.

Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post reports Garrard may be headed to an unhappy ending with Dolphins GM and head coach Joe Philbin today or tomorrow.

Veteran David Garrard is also still with the Dolphins, but his chances of making the roster don’t look good following knee surgery three weeks ago. Garrard said that as of Sunday he couldn’t jog or put any real pressure on his knee. Roster cuts are due by 9 p.m. Friday.

Viewers have also seen rookie Ryan Tannehill struggle to match teams with NFL divisions – AFC or NFC — but work his way into the starting role while Garrard was relegated to the sidelines and a slow rehab.

Unless the surgery was more intense than initially reported I don't see how this could be accurate, but even if it is, I feel bad for the guys who get cut after being injured during training camp and preseason without seeing a paycheck.
