Dolphins players sound off on Vontae Davis trade

The Miami Dolphins are making moves so they can compete in the tough AFC East. Yesterday, they shipped cornerback Vontae Davis to the Indianapolis Colts for a second-round pick and a conditional sixth-rounder.
Dolphins players had plenty to say about how they felt about the trade.
Linebacker Karlos Dansby was asked if the trade was discouraging.
“I’ll leave that up to you all,” he told the Miami Herald. ”I don’t know what the situation was or what occurred to cause the trade. ”He’s a great player, one of the best corners in the game. I’m not sure about the direction of the team. That’s not my place. My place is to play hard and be the leader of men… There’s nothing I can do to control that. It’s not my place to recommend or OK a trade.”
Cornerback Richard Marshall, who is expected to start this season said, “None of us saw this coming. I don’t know how to take it.”

Don Shula needs to take over again.

LikeI hope Karlos doesn't have to take a drug test anytime soon. With comments like "One of the best corners in the game", I think he must be smoking something. Vontae has no smarts and it showed throughout his 3 years with Miami.
PS You can trade draft picks for a player , just like Indy did to get VD. You dont have to wait until the draft.

LikeHe should just play, like Parcells thought he could..as far as Davis...trouble, trouble.. great ability..low brain power..good athlete not a good locker room presence..i guess the hood never leaves you.

LikeThis is going to be yet another long year for Miami's Fish (mammals actually). Hopefully, they won't be trading away Jake Long as well. Geeze it's been tough to hang with this team. Any Dolfans missing the Don Shula days ?!?! I think I may have an old videotape of a couple of games from that era, now I only need a videotape machine.
