Kobe Bryant’s wife wants husband who wins championships every year

Kobe Bryant’s gold medal play at the London Olympics and the arrival of new teammate Dwight Howard have put reports of his divorce on the backburner. Wife, Vanessa, revealed that she won’t settle for a loser for a husband in an interview for the current issue of New York Magazine, picked up by Pro Basketball Talk, Nicki Jhabvala and The Basketball Jones.
“I certainly would not want to be married to somebody that can’t win championships. If you’re sacrificing time away from my family and myself for the benefit of winning championships, then winning a championship should happen every single year.”
That certainly comes off as… elitist. Which is a kind word for her reputation among some at Staples Center. That said, it kind of sounds like a less polished version of what Kobe Bryant would say.
Sounds like that lady looking for the VIP entrance to a Rmoney event. She just doesn't understand "you people" because...well...she's entitled, right?
I love how story titles like this make people look so dumb, simply by providing no context to the quote. All she meant was, she misses her husband...the girls miss their Daddy, and if he wasn't winning, then what would it all be for? Maybe she actually loves him, ya know.
@JamieBreslow Yeah, that MIGHT actually make a LITTLE sense if people could win championships on their own.
So this is grounds for divorce. Failure to win championships.

Maybe Kobe wants a wife who can produce an "heir" - this stupid demand would match her stupid demand! What has she contributed to the marriage other than being someone who has a nanny for her kids and a plastic surgeon for her superficial life.

@Dolores1 she has been a successful gold digger. that is quite an accomplishment and makes for an impressive resume. and i know kobe is mad she didn't give him baby boys like lebron has. he should at least donate his sperm to as many women as possible hoping for a genetic copy of himself in one of those offsprings. he can be legally protected too through sperm banks. what a moron.
WHAT.....a shallow, superficial, supremely entitled, unappealing woman. Kobe can do better than this...I would not blame him for dumping her for a younger woman...and I am a 46 YO female. She needs to get over herself. Just saying...
@Truth Well, he was trying at the Olympics. It's funny, even Aussie b.baller Liz Cambage (a former fan of Kobe) was dogging him on Twitter cause he was trying left, right and center to hook up with Oz swimmer Stephanie Rice. So that ho AKA Vanessa deserves the skank she's with, two doofuses who have no business being in a marriage.
