The Clips have been without a G.M. since Neil Olshey did an about-face and fled to Portland on June 4. Sacks has been part of the braintrust running L.A. in the interim and has long been mentioned as a leading contender to succeed Olshey.
Sacks, a UCLA grad, is entering his 19th season with the Clippers franchise, having worked many lower-level jobs in basketball operations before being promoted to assistant director of player personnel and then director of scouting.
