The Chicago Bulls were expecting to have Derrick Rose back by late January, but a Chicago Tribune report states the Bulls may have to wait even longer for their franchise player.
The report states Rose is “out until likely March,” which would bring the guard back well after the All-Star break.
Rose, a former NBA MVP, tore his left ACL in the closing minutes of the Bulls first-round playoff game against the Philadelphia 76ers. In June, the Bulls selected Kentucky guard Marquis Teague in the draft to help in the backcourt while Rose rehabs.
Just last week, Rose released a video on YouTube telling fans that he’d be back on the court soon, but he gave no timetable on when his return would be.
