Just days after signing with the Knicks while Jeremy Lin’s future with the franchise was in doubt, Kidd crashed his SUV into a telephone pole in the Hamptons.
Kidd’s arrest came hours after the Knicks signed Raymond Felton, bringing on another point guard to the roster before ultimately not matching the Houston Rockets’ offer sheet to Lin.
