Report: Cubs could trade Ryan Dempster by the end of the week
Ryan Dempster’s time in Chicago could be coming to an end. According to a tweet from ESPN’s Jayson Stark, the Cubs are looking to trade the starter in the very near future.
An exec of one team talking to the #Cubs said today they're working hard to move Ryan Dempster "by the end of the week."—

Dempster, 35, has spent the past nine season with the Cubs and owns a 5-3 record with a 1.86 ERA as a starter in 2012. Dempster is also riding a 33-inning scoreless streak, which will likely increase his value in trade negotiations – likely a big part of the reason why the Cubs would like to part with him so swiftly.
