Report: Nike signs No. 1 draft pick Anthony Davis

According to sports business reporter Darren Rovell, the athletic apparel giant has signed the New Orleans Hornets’ Anthony Davis to an endorsement contract.

Nike has signed #1 draft pick Anthony Davis to a multi-year deal.

Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

Nike picked up Davis after outfitting him in his one season with the Kentucky Wildcats. According to Rovell, Davis is the seventh No. 1 overall pick to sign with Nike in the past decade. Only Dwight Howard (adidas), Derrick Rose (adidas) and John Wall (Reebok) did not sign with Nike.
