Report: Warriors making a play for free-agent forward Carl Landry
In other New Orleans Hornets free agent news …
Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group reports that the Golden State Warriors are going after free-agent power forward Carl Landry, late of the Hornets.
A source tells Thompson that talks are progressing, but Golden State doesn’t have a lot of cap room to make Landry a substantial offer.
I'm told no deals are imminent. Remember, Landry made $8.5M last season. Market says he's going to take a pay cut. But how low will he go?—

Landry’s best season came in 2009-10, which he split between the Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings. He was traded by the Kings to the Hornets in February 2011, and he averaged 12.5 points and 5.2 rebounds in 41 games last season.
