After undergoing successful heart surgery in March, Chris Wilcox has returned to the Boston Celtics.
According to a report by Comcast SportsNet’s A. Sherrod Blakely, Wilcox is anticipated to re-sign with the Celtics after the team used a waiver for him this past season.

ESPNBoston’s Chris Forsberg confirmed the report minutes later.
Wilcox appeared in 28 games last season and started four. The 6-foot-10 power forward is expected to once again back up Kevin Garnett while also mentoring the Celtics’ first-round pick Fab Melo.
