Reports: Cousin of Chicago Bears’ Devin Hester wanted for murder
Antoinne Robert Hester, reportedly the cousin of Chicago Bears wide receiver Devin Hester, is wanted for the murder of a 20-year-old Florida man, according to reports.
FOX News Chicago reports that Antoinne Hester, 22, is wanted by the Sheriff’s Office in Broward County, Fla., for the July 4 shooting of Bevins Bennett. HLN’s Jon Leiberman reports that law enforcement officials have been in touch with Devin Hester in their search for his cousin.
Media outlets initially reported that Antoinne Hester was the brother of the Bears receiver, but Leiberman clarified their relationship in a pair of tweets Tuesday.
US Marshal's now clarifying - saying they were mistaken - Antoinne Hester is cousin of #Bears player Devin Hester. Investigation ongoing.

Witnesses apparently heard Antoinne Hester brag that Devin was his brother when in fact he's a cousin. Broward Co. working case with USMS.

(The charge reflected in the warrant for Antoinne Hester’s arrest at the time of this story’s writing may still be attempted murder, but Bennett died over the weekend, and the charges will be upgraded to murder, according to Leiberman. It’s unclear whether that process has already taken place.)
The motive for the shooting is still unknown.
