Report: Pacers to match Blazers’ 4-year, $58 million Roy Hibbert offer

The Portland Trail Blazers surprised many last week when they offered Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert a four-year, $58 million contract extension – the maximum allowed by the league. Today, the Indianapolis Star’s Mike Wells reported in a tweet that the Pacers plan to match the Blazers’ generous offer.

This news comes with Hibbert in Portland, taking a physical as a precursor to signing the Blazers’ offer sheet, according to a tweet from the Portland Oregonian’s John Canzano.
