Report: Rockets join the chase for free-agent point guard Ramon Sessions
We told you the other day about the Dallas Mavericks’ stepped-up pursuit of free-agent point guard Ramon Sessions. Now Jeff Caplan of ESPNDallas.com reports that the Houston Rockets have also joined the chase for the former Los Angeles Laker.
The Rockets lost starter Goran Dragic to the Phoenix Suns and then traded Kyle Lowry to the Toronto Raptors. Houston has agreed to a deal with restricted free agent Jeremy Lin, but the New York Knicks are expected to match the offer.
Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle says that Sessions is far from a done deal, however:
Rockets have "touched base" with Ramon Sessions and Raymond Felton. Unlikely either signs with Rockets, source said.—

Feigen does say that the Rockets could bring back former starter Aaron Brooks, who was sent to Phoenix when the Houston originally acquired Dragic.
