Dodgers SS Dee Gordon to miss six weeks with ligament tear in thumb
Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Dee Gordon suffered what was thought to be a dislocated right thumb in the eighth inning of Wednesday’s win over the Cincinnati Reds when he slid headfirst into third base. But an MRI on Thursday revealed a more serious injury.

Gordon leads the majors with 30 stolen bases. Luis Cruz moved from third to shortstop to replace Gordon on Wednesday, but it’s unclear if he is the long-term solution.
