Celtics, Brandon Bass reach three-year deal

Boston Celtics forward Brandon Bass reached a three-year deal to stay with the team, according to the Boston Herald. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The San Antonio Spurs were also reportedly interested in the power forward. Bass, 27, averaged career highs in points per game (12.5), rebounds per game (6.2) and minutes per game (31.7) this past season. He was traded to the Celtics in December 2011 after two seasons each with the New Orleans Hornets, Dallas Mavericks and Orlando Magic.

UPDATE: Chris Sheridan of SheridanHoops.com reports that the deal is for $20 million over the three years.
