Joey Chestnut ate 68 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes Wednesday afternoon and defended his title at Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island. He is now tied with former champion Takeru Kobayashi, who did not compete this year, for most titles ever at the event. In winning the title, Chestnut also takes home $10,000 and a mustard-yellow championship belt.

In a report from ESPN NewYork’s Mike Mazzeo and The Associated Press, Chestnut said he wanted to eat more but is happy to have won again:

“It feels great to get the win, but I’m a little bummed I didn’t get to 70,” Chestnut said.

The contest, which has become a tradition on Independence Day, has been held every year in Coney Island since 1972.
