Report: Jason Terry agrees three-year Boston Celtics deal

NBA

The Boston Celtics had one of the oldest rosters in the NBA last season. Clearly, they don’t mind getting older. Yahoo! Sports’ Marc J. Spears reports via Twitter that the Celtics have agreed a three-year deal with free agent combo guard Jason Terry, the 34-year-old who has played the last eight seasons with the Dallas Mavericks.

If the Celtics sign shooting guard Ray Allen, who is also a free agent, that would give the team four players over the age of 35 who would figure to play prominent roles inĀ  the 2012-13 season. Terry turns 35 this September, while Paul Pierce will turn 35 in October, two weeks for the season is slated to tip off. Allen and recently re-signed power forward Kevin Garnett are both 36.
