Grant Hill undergoes knee procedure, draws interest from Lakers and others
Grant Hill won’t be retiring just yet. The 39-year-old forward, whose early career was derailed by injuries, intends to keep playing into next season after undergoing a special procedure on his knee, according to a tweet from ESPN‘s Ric Bucher
Grant Hill just had platelet-enrichment procedure on his knee that Kobe had. Now on Lakers' wish list (Phx, Tor, NYK also). Coincidence?—

The procedure involves spinning the patient’s own blood until the platelets that are responsible for the body’s natural healing mechanisms can be separated and re-introduced into the affected area. The procedure has been credited with extending Kobe Bryant’s career, and that of a few other professional athletes.
Hill has spent the past five seasons with the Phoenix Suns, consistently logging 30 minutes per game. His numbers have taken a dip this past season, though, as Hill shot 44 percent from the field, down from his career average of 48 percent.
