After two years in Los Angles, Randy Foye wants to come closer to home. The Clippers’ shooting guard, a soon-to-be free agent and Newark, N.J. native, has identified the New York Knicks as a potential destination this offseason.

Citing sources close to the player, ESPNNewYork.com reports that the Knicks offer a good balance of on- and off-court advantages for Foye, who also has a stellar record as a visitor at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks could use Foye to boost their 33.6 percent three-point average as a team — Foye made the most shots from long range in the league in the second half of last season, with current Knicks guard Steve Novak in second.
