New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez hit a solo home run on Wednesday for his 1,925th RBI, surpassing Jimmie Foxx for sixth place all-time in Major League history.

Rodriguez’s homer in the bottom of the sixth inning came against Atlanta Braves starter Tommy Hanson to give him career home run number 640. The blast cut the Yankees deficit to 6-3. The Yankees eventually lost 10-5.

The Elias Sports Bureau is the official statistician of Major League Baseball and credits Foxx with 1,924 RBI, while some sources like Baseball Almanac say Foxx hadĀ 1,922. Rodriguez now trails Ty Cobb, Stan Musial, Lou Gehrig, Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth and all-time leader Hank Aaron in that category.
