The bowl game know as the Champs Sports Bowl for the last eight years has been renamed the Russell Athletic Bowl through at least 2015, according to CBSSports.com.

This year’s will be played at 5:30 p.m. ET on December 28 in Orlando, Fl. and feature teams from the ACC and Big East. The bowl game has changed names six times in its 22-year history.

After seeing names like the Carquest Bowl in 1994, the MicronPC Bowl in 1998 and the MicronPC.com Bowl in 2000, the Russell Athletic Bowl will likely change again after its contract ends.

Florida State defeated Notre Dame 18-14 in last season’s game, selling out the bowl for the first time in its history.
