Dream Team documentary scores big ratings for NBA TV

NBA TV’s 90-minute documentary “The Dream Team” averaged 847,000 viewers, making it the highest-rated telecast in the network’s history.
The documentary, which featured unseen clips and interviews with all 12 team members and some assistant coaches, tells the story of the team’s beginnings up to their gold-medal winning victory in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
The network, owned by the league, was launched in 1999 and reaches 59.7 million homes. The documentary’s first rebroadcast is Friday night at 10:30 ET.
