Stanley Cup Finals once again delivers low ratings
The Los Angeles Kings and their fans are celebrating the first championship in the franchise’s history. It’s too bad most of country tuned out or didn’t even bother to watch.
The Stanley Cup Final between the Kings and the New Jersey Devils drew the third lowest television viewership average since at least 1995, according to TVbythenumbers.com.
Last night’s 6-1 Kings cup-clinching victory shown on NBC was watched by 4.93 million people, by far the highest watched game of the series.
Overall, a little less than three million people watched each game of the six-game series.
