Jets corner Darrelle Revis looks forward to sit down with Jets organization
New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis considers himself to be the best cornerback in football. He just wants to be paid like it and is looking forward to sitting down with members of the Jets organization, reports ESPN.com.
“Sooner or later it has to,” Revis said. “I’ve got two more years left, we’ll go from there.”
Revis signed a deal worth $46 million in 2010 and showed up during the first day of Jets’ three-day minicamp but hasn’t decided if he will hold out of training camp.
“I have grown,” Revis said, who gave no timetable for a sitdown with the Jets’ brass. “This is my sixth year, I’ve grown. (I’ve) been in a lot of situations, you guys got to remember, even when I was a rookie, my rookie contract I came in late. The second one, it was the same type of scenario. We’ll see.”
