Just in time for the circus known as HBO Sports’ “Hard Knocks”, the Miami Dolphins are looking to make a splash with the way they look.
Dolphins owner Stephen Ross spoke with season-ticket holders during a 45-minute conference call Monday and among the topics discussed were celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 1972 perfect team, along with uniform and stadium changes, according to the Palm Beach Post.
A change to the team’s aqua-and orange color scheme and logo, which haven’t changed much since the Dolphins first season in 1966, was suggested by a fan.
Ross’ response: “I totally agree with you.”
Ross also wants to build a canopy or shelter over the seating bowl at Sun Life Stadium, but aims to still keep the playing field exposed.
One thing that won’t change: playing Jimmy Buffett’s song “Fins” after each score.
