In the aftermath of the Boston Celtics’ game seven exit from the NBA playoffs, one of the team’s key reserves has indicated his commitment to the franchise. Power forward Brandon Bass, who filled in quite capably for Kevin Garnett throughout Boston’s playoff run, told WEEI that he enjoyed his run with the Celtics and would like to see it continue.
“I do,” he said when asked if he thought he would be back. “I would love to be back here. The fans here are unbelievable. For any player, this organization is the organization that you want to play for.”
“This group of guys, this team has been great to be a part of,” he said. “We fought through so many different things. Teammates going down, injuries, we continued to fight. I’d say I love these guys. It was just a great experience being a part of this group.”
Bass averaged around 12 points per game in the regular season and playoffs this season for the Celtics, playing about 30 minutes per game. Both are career highs.
