Report: Andre Ethier agrees to 5-year contract with Los Angeles Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers and outfielder Andre Ethier have agreed to a 5-year, $85-million contract extension that will be announced later Tuesday, the Los Angeles Times‘ Dylan Hernandez reports.
Ethier close to deal with #Dodgers that would be guaranteed for $85M over 5 yrs. Vesting option for 6th yr that would raise value to $100M.

Ethier's deal: $13.5 M in 2013, $15.5 M in 2014, $18 M in 2015, $18 M in 2016, $17.5 M in 2017, $17.5 M or $2.5 M buyout in 2018.

The 30-year-old Ethier is a career .291 hitter and two-time All-Star. He won a Gold Glove last season. In 2009, Ethier hit .272 with 31 home runs and 106 RBI. He finished sixth in MVP voting.
In 2012, Ethier is hitting .287 with a league-best 53 RBI. He also has 10 home runs. The Dodgers hold a league-best 39-23 record.
