Report: Kiki Vandeweghe being considered for Clippers general manager
Kiki Vandeweghe is being looked at by the Los Angeles Clippers as a candidate to fill the team’s recently vacated general manager position, according to Ken Berger of CBSSports.com:
The Clippers, who parted ways with GM Neil Olshey Monday as Olshey took the GM job in Portland, are said to be considering former Nuggets and Nets executive Kiki Vandeweghe to replace Olshey. Clippers president Andy Roeser said in a statement released by the team Monday that the search for Olshey’s replacement already is under way.
Vandeweghe was the general manager of the Denver Nuggets and was responsible for drafting Carmelo Anthony, trading for Marcus Camby and hiring head coach George Karl. He had also served as general manager of the New Jersey Nets and is currently a game analyst for Clippers games on Fox Sports West in Los Angeles.
