Report: Boxer Shane Mosley retires





Boxer Shane “Sugar” Mosley has officially retired, Ring TV reported Sunday night on Twitter.

Mosley lost five of his seven fights, most recently a May 6 bout to rising 22-year-old boxer Saul “Canelo Alvarez.
“I think he can go a long ways,” Mosley said after that fight. “I made sure he was worthy of being one of the next kings of the ring. I got beat by a better man tonight.”
The future Hall of Famer Mosley finishes his career 46-8-1, twice upsetting Oscar De La Hoya in memorable fights. Mosley held titles at lightweight, welterweight and junior middleweight in his career.
