Report: Tokyo governor rips citizens for not supporting bid for 2020 Olympics
The International Olympic Committee last week announced that Tokyo is one of three finalists to host the 2020 Olympics. Now, a Tokyo leader is speaking out against his citizens for not fully supporting the city’s bid, according to a pair of tweets by Steve Wilson of the Associated Press.
The tweets refer to comments by Tokyo Governor Shintaro Ishihara.

Tokyo Gov. Ishihara on Tokyo citizens:
`They think everything is a given. They're full of themselves and they care only about themselves.'

His comments apparently came in response to an IOC poll that showed only 47 percent of Tokyo residents want to host the Games.
Madrid and Istanbul are also finalists for the Olympics. Baku and Doha were eliminated by the IOC last week.
