Justin Turner injures ankle, David Wright to play SS for Mets

MLB

The New York Mets’ constant shuffle at shortstop will continue, as utility infielder Justin Turner injured his ankle in this afternoon’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citi Field.

ESPNNewyork.com reporter Adam Rubin breaks down Turner’s injury in a series of tweets:

With fellow shortstop Ronny Cedeno injured and normal starter Reuben Tejada on the disabled list, the Mets have moved third baseman David Wright to shortstop for the remainder of the game. This is just the second time Wright has played the position in the major leagues.
