Brewers RHP Marco Estrada injures leg on double
Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Marco Estrada was injured during Wednesday’s game against the San Francisco Giants after rounding first base in the bottom of the first inning. Estrada hit a two-run double for his first hit of the season and grabbed his leg coming into second base. He was diagnosed with a strained hip flexor.
Estrada sent the Giants down in order in the top of the first and his double scored Jonathan Lucroy and Rickie Weeks sending Brewers to an early 6-0 lead. Pitcher Zack Greinke pinch-ran for Estrada and left-hander Manny Parra replaced him in the top of the second.
In 10 starts this season, Estrada is 0-3 with 4.63 ERA.
