San Diego Padres Release Veteran Orlando Hudson

The San Diego Padres have released second baseman Orlando Hudson according to the team’s official Twitter account.

Hudson had hit .211/.260/.317 in 35 games for San Diego this year. He was leading the league with five triples and had 11 RBI. Last season Hudson hit .246/.329/.352 with seven home runs and 43 RBI.

In his 11-year career he has been named an All-Star twice, and is a four-time Gold Glove winner at second base.
