NFL

Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Phil Taylor underwent surgery Wednesday to repair a torn chest muscle, according to the Associated Press.

Taylor injured his chest lifting weights at the team’s facility last week.

A 2012-13 return was not ruled out, but he will need “months” to recover, Brown general manager Pat Shurmur told the AP.
